Darcy & Friends
My original plan for the series I called ‘Jane Austen in the 21st Century’ was to provide fresh insights into the hearts and minds of Austen’s heroes, as well as bring the plots, characters and settings bang up to date.
Now, after completing the first two books, I have also discovered another ‘truth universally acknowledged’: all roads lead to Mr Darcy. It’s amazing how strong the connections are between Darcy’s story and those of the other Austen heroes. So Choc Lit have relaunched the series as ’Darcy & Friends’ and I’ll be highlighting the connection at the start of each book.

The first book in the series is The Importance of Being Emma, which was shortlisted for the 2009 Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance. You can read reviews here and buy it as a paperback on Amazon UK or US, and from Amazon’s Kindle store - UK or US.
With the relaunch of the series as Darcy & Friends, a new version will be available soon - look out for a different cover and a foreword by Will Darcy!
Persuade Me, the second in the series, will be published in September 2011 - you can read an extract here and pre-order your copy here.
Persuade Me will be launched at the Jane Austen Festival in Bath - where else? - and there’ll be opportunities to buy a personally signed copy for yourself or a friend or relative. See my Events Calendar for the details as they’re confirmed.
And third on the list is Northanger Nights - stand by, all you Tilneyettes!
